The moon... she is a comin' back. yeah.

I would wave a flag in the air, but I'm afraid I just don't particularly have the energy. At least my brain seems clear for the first time in at least 10 days or so. Wow, this season packed a wallup!

Last night I hosted Kingdom Scriptorium. I was tired, but I'm glad the gang came over. It sorta forced me to work on a scroll, which I really NEED to get finished. It is all done, but the outlining. I should hopefully be able to finish that on Sunday.

Let's see... general updates....

Work-front: Not as stressful as last week, but still butting heads over some issues at the county level. Trying to keep them happy, but it ain't easy.

SCA-projects:

- Scrolls: making progress. Keeping a good eye on who in the scriptorium is working on which scroll and what phase it is on. Heck, it is hard enough for me to remember where I leave off on my own projects, much less the rest of them. Kudos to Aliskye for tracking things on an even larger basis!
- Metalwork: Casting complete. Clean-up to go.
- Sewing: for me, on hold. Cloak handwork to finish up for elevation.
- Dance: Teaching another workshop this weekend. Looking forward to B.R.B., and then to taking a LONG break from dance instruction to recharge my batteries. Well... except for the dance demo for B.R.B., the demo for Yule, and teaching for Yule... (Sigh... I guess I WON'T get a break for a while).
- Cooking: Need to come up with W.W. lunch menu when I get a breather.
- Newcomers: Graduation at Yule. D'oh! Need to cast tokens for them. Note to self. One more full session to run, and then I'm done. I enjoy the newcomers, but I'm TIIIIIRED.
- Collegium: I really think I'm gonna try to NOT teach at this next collegium. I would like to TAKE classes for a change.
- A&S: Starting to do assignments to gear up for Kingdom office. If the powers that be still choose to have me by that time, I hope I can do this kingdom justice.

- General SCA observation: I like Caid. I respect Caid. Caid is unique. Caid is NOT the West, nor does it need to be. Nuff said.

House-projects:

- Putting together some noshies for a historic presentation next week. Giles will be giving the lecture to people from the City of Anaheim. I will be cooking fun Victorian noshies from a 1903 cookbook. Should be fun!

- Mrs. McCavity and I need to put together a menu for the Victorian Xmas dinner. Never a dull moment!

- Garden - whenever I get a spare moment.

I think I need a nap.

For some reason, a comment in your post reminded me of these lyrics from Escape Club "Wild Wild West"

"Now put your flags in the air and march them up and down
you can live it up live it up all over the town"

*grin*

Not the West?

OK, I'm curious. Just having moved down from the West, I'd kinda like to know what you meant by the comment about Caid not being, nor needing to be, the West,

Just curious. I hope it doesn't come across as anything more sinister. ;)

Gaius
who found you in Friends of Friends and was just curious ... ok, and bored at work
