Back from P.S.
Jun. 1st, 2005 10:57 amHello L.J. world! I'm back.
Giley and I just returned from a most wonderful time in Palm Springs. This had to be, bar none, the single BEST time I've ever had there. It was warm, wild, fun, and outrageous, and even had some moments of relaxation in there. I actually finally managed to finish Household Gods. (I gotta admit, the further into the book I got, the more I began to finally like the main character.)
Highlights of the vacation included:
- Sunday champagne brunch at the Rainbow Cactus
- a FABulous dinner at Now
- Taking in the sites
- Getting a really, really nice tan
- Shopping with my honey (we found a really awesome new hat for him. I call it "Giles Noir")
- Garden art - we found an AWESOME cast wall-plaque for the back yard
- gardening in general - I was given several beautiful cuttings from the property owners for our back yard. They have all been planted, and will hopefully all make it.
- the MEN! I know, that was an obvious one. But all I can say is WOW! I was really overwhelmed.
- new friends and mixed drinks
- the photo session (nuff said).
We got back around noonish yesterday, and set ourselves to working in the back yard. Giles went out and got a pressure-washer to bleach the deck, while I worked on the garden. He did an amazing job at sprucing up the deck, while I took care of some much-much needed garden maintenance. It was a VERY productive day followed by a light dinner, and Coldstones afterwards. Life just doesn't get better than this.
