Ugh... I feel crappy.
I took today off from work to sit home and be a slug. I woke up at 10:00am to a quiet tapping at the bedroom door. Our cleaning lady arrived, and wanted to know if she could come in and clean the bathroom. I waived her on in, and rolled over hoping to just pass out again - no such luck.
Today's adventures have involved reading email, finishing a book called "Eating with the Victorians" all about Victorian table-ettiquette and menus, gardening, and going to the grocery store. The last part sucked out all the rest of my energy, and now I am just beat. BUT, it feels good to actually DO something. I don't just "lie down on the couch and rest" very well. I get bored after 5 minutes, and become very aggitated.
I found myself just a bit hungry after finishing my errands. So I pulled out some non-fat vanilla yogurt, and took advantage of the back yard. There is something amazingly satisfying about being able to just walk outside and pick fresh blackberries and strawberries to go with my yogurt. It is a simple pleasure, but one that I really enjoy.
