Patience - NONE!
Dec. 6th, 2005 09:16 amI have no clue why, but I'm in a bit of a puppy-kickin' mood this morning. My patience level is just shot to hell, and I don't think I'll be able to hold back my tongue if I note anyone doing a blatant act of stupidity.
Having groused, I must recap on my fabulous anniversary weekend.
WARNING - this is sugary sweet. Diabetics be warned.
On Friday night, we heard a knock at the door. Karen, the caterer from our wedding reception arrived. My hubby had hired her to fix us the exact same meal that we had at our wedding reception. His logic is that, we were so overwhelmed at our wedding by everything else, we didn't get to enjoy the dinner - he was quite right. So, he had the fine china out, along with our wedding silver. The cheesecake wedding top came out of the freezer. And we had our first anniversary dinner as a look-back over the previous year. Candlelights... fine food... staring at my honey. It was just perfect in every way. We spent the rest of the evening on the couch watching black n' white movies. How relaxing.
Saturday was domestic day and Gyldenholt Yule. MUCH fun, but back to Anniversary stuff.
On Sunday, we headed down to San Diego. We stayed at the Horton Plaza hotel - TRES spiff Victorian hotel in the gaslight district. It was calm. It was quiet. It was fun. We had dinner at this cute little corner restaurant where the food was wonderful, and the manager serenaded us. We walked around. We shopped. We had a wonderful time. The next day, after touring Hillcrest, I opted for us to head back home. After a leisurely drive home, we arrived and had enough time to unload, relax, and enjoy the rest of the day.
And of course, now that I'm back, I really SHOULD be in a good mood. Maybe I just need more coffee. Grrrrrr.
