I have long held the philosophy that if what you choose to believe creates in you the desire to leave this world in better shape than when you came into it, that's just fine with me.
Most people find that odd, given that I happen to be a practicing Roman Catholic (I'm of the "if everyone who believes we should change walks away, nothing will ever change" camp).
