Nope, no tsunami here

There we were, watching an episode of Six Feet Under when the emergency signal came over the television. "Tsunami Warning. Tune to channel six."
Erugh?! Intrigued (and remembering what happened in Thailand), I did just that.
Sure nuff, there was a major quake off the coast in northern California, and we were all under a tsunami warning. Of course, our house is not near the beach at all, so it isn't like we were at risk. All I could think was, "Poor Laguna! They've gone through enough lately!"
Well, yesterday was an excellent day in terms of productivity. After work, I raced in the door, changed into grubby clothes, put on my kneepads, and went to work (get your minds out of the gutter, boys! I was staining the deck!)
The deck-staining actually went much faster than I had expected. Unfortunately, I ran out of stain before finishing the entire surface. But I got all of the key areas, and it now has that crisp "Done" look. Yeah! So, while we still have a bit more touch-up work to do, and a couple of boards to secure, we are in the final stretch. So now, they just have to hook the damned jacuzzi up, clean out the tub, fill it, and we should be good to go. Gods, it is about f#*$%ing time! I haven't had a back yard the entire time I have lived in California because this never-ending nightmare of a construction project has gone on and on and on. I just want it done, done, done.
Tonight, we get a break from housework. After hitting the House of Pain, we are off to a party in Newport Beach. Hmmmmm.... I'm hoping we won't have a tsunami tonight.
