How drunk was I?

Did I really end up nekkid in a hottub with two gorgeous broads? But wait... I get ahead of myself. On Friday night, after the workout of doom, my hubby and I headed up to visit a friend in Fullerton. She is having a rough time, and undergoing chemo and radiation. So, we opted to visit, take her in for her treatment, and bring along a home-cooked meal. It is a small thing, but hopefully it brightened her day a bit. Saturday was the great charity dinner. We had an "interesting" group, in that they were a bit less organized and more demanding than previous groups. Once again, I feel pretty darned good that red_goldilocks and I kicked proverbial BUTT on the food.  Ah.... Clive.  Good ol' Clive.  He gave of himself to feed the masses.  (OK, we're weird.  We name our cuts of meat).  And with the help of Jeeves and Babette, it was another roaring success for charity.

Sunday was the best part - laid back, non-hectic.  I worked out, did some gardening, did a bit of metalwork, and then went to see Brokeback Mountain.  I won't spoil anything, as my hubby hasn't gotten to see it yet.  But I will say this - I recommend seeing it.

I keep checking and so far Brokeback Mountain is not showing up anywhere in Gainesville, Tampa, or Orlando. Maybe it will get wider distribution after the awards shows. If not then guess its going to have to wait for the DVD to hit.

So start calling the box offices of all the major theaters, and the limited-run art houses, and the theaters near colleges and universities, and asking when Brokeback Mountain opens. Have your friends do it. Multiple times. You might be surprized at what a few supportive customer calls can accomplish with a manager trying to decide whether or not to book a movie...
