Date night with my honey

Last night I got to join my honey for a Date Night. We took in dinner and a movie. For the movie, we saw Brokeback Mountain. He had to miss it previously, so it was time to play catch-up. Even though I had seen it before, I still found myself crying at the key points. What a great flick! Such a powerful story, and so much emotion. To quote my hubby who found himself also rather emotional, "I hope it sweeps every award that it was nominated for!"
For dinner, we took in a local Persian restaurant. I stuffed myself grossly like a... grossly overstuffed thing. While we sat at the restaurant, my honey surprised me with a wonderful Yule present. From the other side of the table, he presented me with a big basket (Focus people! Get your minds out of the gutter!), filled with cooking stuff. Yes, my name is Joe, and I'm a foodie geek. I found exotic dried mushrooms, and spices, and copper cookwear, etc., etc. As my eyes began to glaze over in that gollum-kinda-way, I felt very overwhelmed. He really does spoil me rotten. I'll never know what he sees in me, but I'm glad he does!
