I look over my "to do" list of work, and just find myself getting annoyed - residual stuff from last week, so I need to hunker down and just get through it.

Where to even begin with this crazy weekend?

Friday night - as my observation to the season, I got to once again host a Dumb Supper. This was the biggest year to date - 11 people, and a TON of food. Chocolate desserts seemed to reign supreme this year - not that I'm complaining. :-) I made a from-scratch chocolate mousse in honor of a departed friend - Denise. Je Vous Souviens!

Saturday - Harvest tourney. I really like Harvest - laid back, casual, and fun. Of course, this year was REALLY laid back. By the time we got there, the event was almost over. We packed up and left mid-afternoon - I've been in peerage meetings that lasted longer. :-) After that, dinner at the Lazy Bitch. WooHOO! I love that place.

Sunday - TTTCNBN, otherwise known as a dinner party. I was pretty pleased, but quickly stuffed. My appetite has been doing funky things lately. One day, I'm ravenous. The next day, I feel stuffed all day long, and cannot eat. How weird.

This week - MUST...BE...PROJECT...FOCUSED! Must...get...things...done...

My office is... um... "special." Yah... that's the word... "special."

Every year for Halloween, my office tends to go all out. Perhaps it is because we are united in what is a rather sad-cause - HIV. Perhaps it is because we are just twisted. Or perhaps it is because so many on the staff are gay that we are not particularly inhibited.

Each year, I have to explain over and over to my co-workers why I don't "dress up." The simple fact is, my hubby and I spend so many weekends where we wear "funny costuming," that there really isn't much appeal to dressing in costume on Halloween. Add on my Pagan convictions - I view today as New Year's eve, and not so much a time for silliness and candy. I have NO PROBLEM with other people who do - it just isn't for me.

Anyway, today was funny. We had one group show up as the cast from the Wizard of Oz - the women were all the characters, and the one man was Dorothy. We had the Adams Family. We had the four seasons. It got freaky... as usual. Fun bunch. FREAKS. But a fun bunch.
