Sloggin’ through another Monday

After an oddly restless night’s sleep, Monday morning brings about another batch of challenges, reflections on the past weekend, and random thoughts.  Highlights to the weekend, of course, include wallpapering the front entryway, and spending Sunday getting schnockered with a bunch of other happy-go-lucky guys at a bar in L.A.  By all rights, I really SHOULD be hungover this morning, but for some odd reason, I’m feeling really pretty good.  Maybe it was the late dinner when we got back?  Maybe it was the yoga I did yesterday morning in the back yard?  Maybe it is just the change in the season?  Or maybe the fates gave me one hangover freebie as an early birthday present.  Hmmmm… I guess anything is possible.

 

Currently, the skies above Santa Ana display a hazy but bright promise of blue.  The weather reports show an unusually warm set of days ahead of us.  WooHOO!  I really cannot say that I am bothered by the “unseasonal” part of it all.  This past winter has been horrendous – lots of rain (for this area), biting wind and cold (for this area), and waaaaay too many sick days for me and everyone around me.  Time for some warmth!  I want my moments of sitting in the back yard like a lizard on a hot rock.  Oh cabana-boy, I’ll have that pina colada now.
