Lookin' fer Jesus

Sitting down at my desk this morning, I booted up my computer hoping that maybe... just maybe... today would be a fairly easy going day with minimal crises and few upsets.  Often at my job, my cow-orkers and I spend our time reacting.  If it isn't this crisis, it is that issue.  If it isn't that issue, it is a Very Important Meeting.  If it isn't that, we have to play nice nice with a veritable DEE-di-DEE!  In any case, whenever my coworkers and I speak about the latest crisis du jour, it has become critical to set the stage and ground everyone so that we all know WHICH crisis with WHICH program we are dealing with.

As my Outlook opened, I read an email entitled "Problem with the Provider."  Oh gee... like THAT is gonna help.  Opening the email, I learned that I had been cc'ed on an email apparently sent from one of our employees to one of our providers.  Which one, I had no idea.  The email began with the following...

"I have been having a great deal of difficulty communicating with Jesus.  I see from our reports that Jesus is on the payroll.  Yet, when I went to the provider site, I could not find Jesus."

WTF?  We lost Jesus?  Say it isn't so!  

Eventually, after reading, rereading, and rereading again the email, I figured out who it was from, what it was talking about, and what it was really all about.  But still...

God would be so pissed if you lost his son again. I mean, what kind of babysitters is mankind if they keep misplacing the kid, or killing him? Oh wait. We'd all be on Super Nanny if we did that.
